Mission

As a SW developer for embedded MMI (Man Machine Interface) software development,
he needs to have the ability to design, develop, unitary test and supports
the software dedicated for Alcatel-Lucent terminals.

The work will be mainly on user interface design and implementation,
user input and operation response, etc.

He/she is the referent in his team for all MMI related aspect of the project.
He/she must continuously improve its technological expertise,
as well as make propositions for improvements on technologies,
methods, tools and processes.

As member of a Software team, he/she works with a high team spirit
and sharing capabilities. The software developer reports to the team leader.

Responsibilities

- Understand project external specification and then make the detailed
software module design accordingly.
The ability to read and write technical documents in English,
such as design specifications, testing specifications, and so on.
- Developing and unitary testing terminal MMI software modules with high
quality. The MMI modules are user interface, user input and operation
response, telephonic calls management, directory and settings, etc.
- The ability to debug and fixing C Language software bugs under UNIX or Linux platform.
- Know the software configuration management tool as Clearcase, and could develop under it.
- Know the bug tracking tool as ClearDDTS/ClearQuest and fault report life cycle.
- Ensuring required quality level and lead time for his development.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree or above on telecom, computer, or related.
- For senior MMI software engineer, at lease four to five years working
experience on embedded software developing and testing in the area
of mobile phone, telephone sets or other kinds of terminals and embedded products.
- For junior MMI software engineer, at lease two years working experience.
- Skills on software programming (C/C++) and debugging tools
(GDB, DDD) on UNIX or Linux platform are mandatory.
- Working experience on MMI design and developing are highly preferred.
- Working experience on MIPS and VxWorks platform are highly preferred.
- Knowledge on software configuration management tool as Clearcase
and bug tracking tool as ClearDDTS/ClearQuest is preferred.
- Knowledge on telecom or SIP or IPv6 or Bluetooth is preferred.
- Good communication skills (English as working language).
- Be Initiative and innovative, can work independently and take
responsibility and risk. Show good team spirit.
- Senior Engineer with at least 5 years experience in software development
and at least 3 years in MMI software development
