Responsibility

- Bring competitive advantage for defined area of raw materials
ex China to the internal customer of BASF group companies
and business units worldwide
- For the defined area of raw materials, initiate and guide
the development of strategic sourcing project, supplier
selection and supplier management and negotiation process,
in close cooperation with supervisor
- For defined internal customers and business units, keep and
constant dialogue and excellent communication flow.
- Build up fields of market expertise, research and monitor
the upstream/procurement/downstream markets, understand cross
dependencies, market trends, early warning indicators.
- In coordination with sourcing assistant, ensure that export
of sourcing goods is running smoothly in full line
with internal rules and regulations.
- Ensure that sourcing database is input correctly and give
input to develop EHS concepts and database further

Requirements

- University degree in Chemical or Chemical Engineering
- 3- 5 years related working experience
- Fluent English speaking, writing, reading, skilled in MS office
programs, experience in chemical procurement preferred
