The role of the Technology Director is to insure technology leadership and excellence in the day to day engineering, manufacturing, and product development operations of the company's Asia - Pacific Division. Initially, this individual's main responsibilities will be to support the continuous improvement and advancement the company's manufacturing and engineering priority programs in the Asia Pacific region. |

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide leadership in the interface between customers and our internal operations with regard to new product introductions, technology initiatives,
and support of customer technical issues |
| - |
Work with each department to understand their issues and help develop and implement the most effective solutions from a technology standpoint |
| - |
Advance the core manufacturing and engineering technology and capability of the company |
| - |
Provide feedback to R&D and product directors in specific technological requirements of new materials / technologies to insure that the needs of the Asia Pacific fabricators and OEM's are being met |
| - |
Provide leadership in the areas of innovative problem solving, leveraging outside expertise,
and in developing working relationships that are enthusiastic and able to leverage the discretionary output of all employees |

Provide a technical interface between parent company functions in R&D and product management
and the operations |
| - |
Help identify and allocate technical resources that can be applied to situations and issues
that require global resource pooling |
| - |
Be able to lead and manage critical projects when required |
| - |
Understand, contribute to, and review capital investment proposals |
| - |
Work collaboratively with the Director of Safety to insure that the highest quality,
productivity and safety standards are met |
| - |
Help identify "Best Manufacturing Practices and Solutions" and ensure they are used where
appropriate throughout the company |

Track all major projects after their completion to assess their benefit to the company |
| - |
Work with the Senior Vice President / Technology to ensure that technical resources are available for new product introductions and scale up |
| - |
Provide leadership and a technical interface with outside testing or research organizations in order to advance the company's product and technology development initiatives |

Requirements: |
| - |
Undergraduate or advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, or equivalent required |
| - |
The successful candidate must have extensive experience in implementing manufacturing,
engineering, and polymer chemistry initiatives in companies of like size or larger which are known for best practice / DFSS implementation |

Experience in interconnect fabrication technology is highly desirable |
| - |
The position requires a self-disciplined and self-assured person who can handle a broad range of responsibilities encompassing a wide variety of activities requiring rapid shifts in priorities |

This is a leadership position within the organization, requiring a somewhat authoritative,
